Ways to hire a (good) insurance agent: Advertising in the magazines which specifically relates to your cars (i.e. Camaro Magazine) Your local yellow pages always have many local and reliable agents, call around till you find the most reasonable rate or someone you want to work with. Seek out an agent that actively listens and asks relevant questions. Don't do business with someone you don't like or have a bad feel about. Get printouts of any proposal the agent offers. Deal only with an agent who finds you a policy you can afford & need. Don't take the first insurance agent you meet, unless you are still impressed after talking to several others. Contact at least five different agents. Consider using an insurance broker who can help you comparison shop. Ask for customer references and contact some of them to find out how they like the agent and their services. Measure how quickly an agent responds to your needs, compared to other agents.
